Depending on the code, the referral messages are typically already in template forms. The name of the contact maybe the only part of the email message that may change. The code can display a referral form that can either be optional or mandatory. To assure that new referrals will always be generated for every new customer or subscriber, the referral form should be made mandatory.

The mandatory referral system requires all new subscribers to enter referrals or enter their email account before the transaction or registration be completed. If the viral code is sophisticated enough, it would be capable of extracting all the email contacts of the new subscriber. The code, along with other programs, will then send template email invitations to all the contacts. Although not all referrals will turnout to be new customers, the system is sustainable enough to generate enough number of new customers or subscribers.
